The new SRS Hardware KS 01 kerf saw is an invaluable tool for the correct installation of interlocking metal weather-stripping in doors. The saw creates kerfs to accommodate weather-stripping that is fixed to the rebated door jamb itself. The saw is laid into the rebate and drawn down the inside corner in a series of quick strokes. In no time, this results in a narrow kerf for the strip. Quicker, easier and more versatile than an approach involving routers, trimmers or some other mechanized means. The saw is made with a hardened steel blade and hardwood handle. Please note: this saw is intended for kerfing with the grain only. The saw teeth have to set and it is not to be used for cross grain cutting.
